Sea Levels Rising

Global warming and carbon pollution have been labeled as the main contributing factor for the rise in sea levels. I would like to demonstrate both the cause and effect that humans have on sea levels rising by creating a project that portrays selling products as just the “tip of the iceberg” to what our societies main concerns should be.

Global Water Crisis

Over 800 million people do not have access to clean drinking water. According to the United Nations, that number will increase to an estimated 1.8 billion people by 2025. Although there are many contributions to water scarcity, pollution, agriculture and population growth are a primary cause.

Overpopulation

Overpopulation is arguably the largest contributing factor to global warming. In the past 100 years, the world population has grown from 1.7 billion to 7.5 billion. Many scientists believe Earth has a max carrying capacity of roughly 9 billion people. If the projections estimated by the United Nations Population Division are correct, we are expected to hit that number by 2050.

Art Programs in Schools

Art programs in public schools are constantly at risk of being shut down or under funded. In this concept, I would like to show a direct comparison of an art filled classroom on one side of the concept, with the other side representing a lackluster classroom.

School Shootings in the United States

In 2018 alone, 113 people have been killed or injured in school shootings throughout the United States. The phrase “mass shooting” which directly correlates to war, has now become synonymous when discussing school safety.
